Wednesday Lunch Programs, 2008-2009
Beginning in mid-September, students, staff and faculty will have the opportunity to receive a preordered/prepaid lunch on Wednesdays. The Parents Association sponsors a purchased lunch program fundraiser from local area restaurants. This lunch program provides several benefits to the students, faculty and parents. The students, faculty and staff have the opportunity to enjoy a lunch other than their normal packed lunch, and the parents have a day off from packing lunches. In addition, the profits from this program help fund the Friday assemblies and allow the faculty the opportunity to purchase books for their classroom at the GICS book fair. This year, the lunches will be provided by Papa John's and Subway. A pre-order form is being sent home with each student in early September. These programs are optional and you may order as few or as many as you wish, but you must preorder and prepay with the lunch order form. Please make your meal selections carefully, because you are ordering for the entire school year! In addition, please remember that the stated meal choices are exactly as they are stated. This program is not designed to accommodate substitutions or special requests, so please remember this when choosing your meal selection. Meal selection changes are not encouraged and there are NO refunds for students missing school on a lunch program day. If school is canceled on a lunch program day, the lunch program day will occur the first day that school reopens. The homeroom representatives are responsible for organizing the pickup and delivery of the lunches. They will be contacted in September with the necessary information for the pick up and delivery schedule for the year. Forms need to be completed and payments made during the first week of school. All forms MUST be returned prior to September 5, 2008 to participate in the lunch program for the month of September. All forms received after September 5th will begin participation in the program in the month of October. If you have questions or concerns regarding the program and the deadline for the forms and payment, please contact the school office.
