Celebrate Earth Hour With Us

What:  Earth Hour 2009 GICS-Style

When:  Saturday, March 28th, 2009 from 8:00--9:30 p.m.

Where:  GICS's Campus

Why:  To make a stand and actively take responsibility for our planet in a one-hour, world-wide event.

What you can do:  Join us at GICS with your lawn chairs and warm clothes as we ceremoniously take part in Earth Hour 2009 by turning out our lights together, as a community.

Look forward to snacking on light treats, playing outdoor games, and stargazing (weather-willing);

or playing indoor games and sharing candle-lit conversation (should the weather not behave).

Let's all join together
No matter the weather;

We all have the power
With just one hour

On just one night
To turn off the lights.

On Saturday, March Twenty-Eight
Let's make a "lights-out," dark date!

Let's show everyone
That the time has come

To take a stand
To take care of Earth's land.

We all need to start
By doing our part!

Join us in making a move
To get our planet in the groove!
